About FIRST West Michigan Detachment Fusion Center

Our purpose at the Center is to provide Intelligence Communities/IC's with an outside, operational perspective. Along with analytical expert advice, plus unconventional thinking, to protect and enhance National Security. Early notice and advanced insight for new applications of existing techniques, special skills or approaches including but not limited to; * Not traditionally in the intelligence community. * Intelligence & counter/anti-terrorism, foreign/domestic security. * Analysis of international/national criminal affairs, organized or non-organized. * Fusion Center leadership for encouraged coordination of projects. * Conduct risk assessments and support. * Prevent, mitigate and resolve situations as needed. * Provide enhanced open source information sharing. * Build collaborative inter-agency, information sharing networks. * Facilitate prepared efforts as intel/info mobile response & relay stations. Because inter-agency operations are becoming more complex, our foundation continues to serve, as the corner stone of coordination elements within "Inter-agency Operation Centers/IOC’s".
